Find a font you need

From a colleague:

Hey Photoshop/Web designer guys...

I was working on a website redo and I did not have the original font to make some new text and make it glow. And people typically sell special fonts for $35.

Below is my fix.

I typed the font name (exponto.ttf) into a Google search.  Well that didn't work.
So I went to this website: http://www.linotype.com/
Put the font name (exponto) in the search window.
Click on Search
Click on "Create sample"
Color the font close to what you want, with a white background.
Size it very large (I did 150pt), the larger the better, you can always shrink it down.
Right click on the image.
In the drop down, click on "Save Picture as.."
Save the image as a .bmp file,
Open the file in Photoshop,
Magic wand each letter (while holding down the Shift key),
Create a new document with the right color background,
Create a new layer,
Copy it in,
Put an outer glow.
Bevel/emboss from blending options and

Volia!!!
